Don't Lick Me There

As it is a Monday, please forgive me for breaking the no cute animals rule. This is too funny - check out how brilliantly the cat pulls off an injured feelings expression!

Extreme Photo Stunt - 60th Scrabble Birthday
What is there is say about this collection of 'Extreme Scrabble' photo stunts - than good work, Happy Birthday Scrabble!

Sending Weeds To The Press

This blows (no pun intended) all PR mail-outs that have gone before this one out of the water. The cannabis bouquets were sent out to promote the US TV show ‘Weeds’, and I LOVE everything about it. Bouquets of hemp plants (the legal kind) were sent out like a flower gram to the press and media agencies along with the release to promote the show Weeds. Undeniably awesome, it was from an agency called Le Bureau from Stockholm. Via: ilovebadthings

Searching For The UK's Fittest OAP

Unlike Bonnie Tyler we're are not searching for a hero but the UK's fittest OAP. This Monday, Cowshed went to deepest darkest Stroud (Gloucester, UK) to meet an amazing man - a ridiculous fit 76 year old called Michael.
Michael Minnett (nickname the Fossil as old and craggy) is heading up a campaign from Cravendale to find the UK's most "ripped wrinkly" - with the Sun launching the campaign today online. On their website you will also find an awesome launch video where you can see Michael dispensing some keep fit advice, pressing weights and standing on his head. No one likes a show off Michael ;-)
You can enter your own grandparent - or great grand parent - by going to the milk matters website.
Loving fit elderly people as much as we do?
Read about a playground for pensioners here;
the sad news that the hermit tattoo leopard man has retired (retiring from being a hermit has to be the best concept ever) or simply enjoy the hip hop granny video below.
PRCA Agency Of The Year - Celebratory Baking

Sorry we have been away from a while, it was nothing you said. We are now back and will be posting news every day - why should all the good fun be saved for just a Friday! Excitingly Cow PR has just won PRCA Agency of the Year - we're going to attempt to knock up these Oscar cupcakes to celebrate. We wont share them as they will look nothing like this picture - but maybe a good post for Cake Wrecks, the place where good baking goes bad. So the opposite of these selection of awesome Oscar inspired bakery then!

Zombie Online Dating - Even The Apocalypse Doesn't Have To Be Lonely
Zombie’s don’t be lonely this Halloween and we can’t forget that these animated hunks of flesh have feelings in the pile of mush that was a brain.
They say there is someone for everyone and this dating site for Zombie’s - Zombie Harmony - goes a long way to prove that.
Given this site is a bit ‘different’ - rather than hair colour, eyes, personality etc there is a whole range of different questions.
For example you a; a) slow-moving Zombie, b) fast-moving Zombie or c)Immobile Zombie. Other questions are if you are into gnawing, lumbering or groaning. Here are some of the corkers on this site waiting to be snapped up - what are you waiting for?
I_ate_my_family is interested in liver, pancreas and lower intestine and hates gardening and shotguns.
Maybe a good match for luvstcuddle who likes lumbering, staring vacantly and cuddling.
Cat Tattoos
I really really hope these images are the work of a photoshopping genius but somehow I don’t think they are. This breed of cat who looks a tad Zombie like are Sphinx cats as featured in 'Friends' as Rachel's cat Mrs Whiskerton!

We're Really Into Statuephilia

Statuephilia is a collection of contemporary statue pieces on show at the British Museum featuring artists such as Antony Gormley, Damien Hirst, Ron Mueck, Noble & Webster and Marc Quinn. A must see if your in LDN and need an art fix.

Google Goggles
If active, the Google Mail Goggles force the user to solve a series of math problems before allowing any messages to be sent. They are not difficult questions usually, but are nearly impossible if drunk! The service is set, by default, to only kick in on weekend nights. For those who like to drink mid-week, these settings can be changed.
Genius people at Google have released a VERY useful new feature for their Gmail users which prevents them from sending embarrassing late-night emails. You know those ones you regret in the morning, we have all been there, and thankfully Google has too.
Chicken Noodle Battles

The Cowshed has recently discovered Japanese Monster Battles - an extreme crazy form of wrestling with ridiculous costumes as shown above. We love the wrester known as Chicken Noodle Man and here is a video of his celebratory dance after winning a match. Click here to read more.
Ten Beastly Baking Ideas
Clearly the Thorax Cake is one of the best things we have seen all year - check out which organs secrete which flavour jam and the full low down on this amazing cake here.
Of course if this is far too advanced for your bakery skills then here are nine more achievable options.

Horror Body Painting
Nick Wolfe is an incredible body paint artist who specializes in transforming the women who make up men’s fantasies into the women from their worst nightmares.
Saying It With Candles

It is like being shown a cream cake when your on a diet as you can't get these in the UK just yet! These "expression" candles are brilliant and cover everything off from "rock" to less flattering, universally known, two finger salutes.
Humiliating Our Pets
There are few things funnier in life than fed up looking cats and dogs - in fancy dress.
Another new trend is actually colouring cats as they tend not to like wearing costumes too much. And quite rightly so! We challenge you to look at these and not smile!

Friday 3rd October - Gearing Up For Halloween
Not long to go to Halloween so we thought we would share some awesome Harry Potter pumpkins as well as our pathetic attempt last year. You will know which pumpkin is ours!!!
There has been so much brilliant stuff of late it was hard to choose but D*Face clearly makes the cut, as does the best cake in the World. And this is a FACT.
Go easy on the pumpkin pie and have a brilliant day.
Cowshed. Also, be sure to check out our social media / brand blog.
Do you need an umbrella?
Much brilliance in the form of this simple website - type in your zip code and it will let you know if you need an umbrella or not.
This is weather forecasting my way. To be honest I don't care about wind speed. I don't plan my route to work depending on the wind direction. Nor do I arrive five minutes early if there is a good tail wind.

For Ducks Sake

This site - Rubber Duck: The Duck Shop - contains nothing but nothing but ducks of the rubber variety.
Here are two street art ducks who paddle around Seattle.
