10c Beans

Hats off to Sydney agencies The Hallway and Happy Soldiers who put together this campaign for travel website Zuji.

Zuji produced 10c (5p) beans, the idea being that they are so cheap, they allow people to save for a holiday. In addition to producing ads around the idea, Zuji actually opened temporary stores, where it sold cheap goods to the public to promote its online booking service .

While a lot of campaigns capitalising on the current 'mind recession' aren't always that subtle, these Aussie agencies managed to adopt a fresh, smart and clever response to the drum-beat of bad economic news.
